V the TV series

The remake of V seems like a decent sci-fi show, but it's a little too early to say as it's only on episode three of it's first season. So far I find the acting entertaining and the writing rather compelling. If you haven't checked it out, you should and if you have, leave a comment and let me know what you think of V.

Zombieland was an absolute riot of originality and great writing with hilarity at it's core. I have to recommended any movie that has Bill Murray playing Bill Murray playing a zombie... complete genius!

The Tournament: DVD Rip

The Tournament was an enjoyable action movie that reminded me of a cross between Wanted and Mortal Kombat. It's definitely not a block buster by any means. It doesn't have the best of plots or acting but a fun watch nonetheless. I recommend this movie for when you're in the mood for a no-brainer, kill em all, shoot out flick.

Funny People: DVD Rip

Funny People didn't know if it was a comedy, romance or drama and nether did I. The movie starts off hilarious, even after George finds out he's dying, but about midway through it just stops being funny and becomes much more heart felt and dramatic. I liked the movie in general, but by it's end I felt a little emotionally confused. Maybe that was the intent of the film makers? I'm not sure. I recommend this movie, just don't go in expecting the same old Adam Sandler comedy flick or you'll leave as confused as I was.

Funny People: DVD Rip

2012: Cam

I had high hopes for 2012, but they plummeted fast. This movie is nothing more than a cliche apocalypse/disaster movie with an uninspiring plot that my ten-year-old son could have come up with. The only positive thing I got from the movie is that it's jaw-dropping CGI is truly amazing to behold. Unfortunately, even the CGI is epically laughable, as the characters out run volcanic explosions and falling buildings by seconds in every other scene. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy that type non-sense just as much as anyone, but they do it in EVERY OTHER SCENE. In conclusion, I only recommend this movie to those of you die hard disaster movie fans and even then I do it hesitantly.

A Christmas Carol: Cam

A Christmas Carol is a marvelous retelling of the timeless Charles Dicken's novel and it's destined to be a holiday classic. The animation is exceptional, the characters are captivating and the story feels original and yet still holds true to novel. Honestly, if this movie doesn't win an Oscar I'd be completely dumbfounded. I'll be taking my son to see this one for sure and I recommend it to "one and all".
