Funny People didn't know if it was a comedy, romance or drama and nether did I. The movie starts off hilarious, even after George finds out he's dying, but about midway through it just stops being funny and becomes much more heart felt and dramatic. I liked the movie in general, but by it's end I felt a little emotionally confused. Maybe that was the intent of the film makers? I'm not sure. I recommend this movie, just don't go in expecting the same old Adam Sandler comedy flick or you'll leave as confused as I was.
